Shoe Size Conversion
Convert a shoe size between US men's, US women's, UK, EU, the CM / JP size on shoe labels and Australian sizes, or turn a foot length into a size. The Adults tab uses Nike's men's size chart, which runs from US men's 3.5 to 22, or US women's 5 to 23.5. The Kids tab uses Nike's kids' chart, from 1C to 7Y. A size or foot length outside those ranges gets a message instead of a guess.

How to use the Shoe Size Conversion
- Pick Adults or Kids, then the system your size is in: US, UK, EU, CM / JP or AU.
- Type the size. US kids' sizes end in C or Y, such as 5C or 3Y. The matching row of the chart appears as you type, with the foot length it fits in inches and cm.
- To start from a foot length instead, pick cm or in and type it under Foot length to size. Inches go in as decimals, so 9 5/16 in is 9.3125.
- Clear a field and its result disappears. There is no button to press.
How the conversion works
Size: the chart row whose size matches the one you typed Foot length: the smallest row whose foot length is at least yours Foot length in cm = inches × 2.54
Every row comes from Nike's men's shoe size chart (nike.com/size-fit/mens-footwear, read October 31, 2026). A size finds a row only if the chart prints it, so US men's 10.25 or EU 39.5 gets a message. UK 6 sits on two rows, as do CM 23.5 and CM 24, so those sizes show both rows. US women's is US men's + 1.5 on every row. UK is US men's − 0.5 up to US men's 6.5 and US men's − 1 from 7 on, so no single offset converts US to UK. Nike gives foot length in inches; the calculator multiplies by 2.54 for cm. The CM / JP column is the size on Nike boxes and labels, and Nike notes that it differs from foot length in cm. A foot length between two rows gets the larger size, as Nike recommends. The chart covers foot lengths from 8 1/2 in (21.6 cm) to 14 11/16 in (37.3 cm), and a length outside them gets a message. Nike's kids' chart (nike.com/size-fit/kids-footwear, read November 3, 2026) covers 3 9/16 in (9 cm) to 9 11/16 in (24.6 cm). Australian sizes are not on either chart. They follow Myer's size guide (read November 3, 2026), which prints one UK/AU column for men and for kids and one AUS/US column for women.
Worked example
Pick US Men and type 10. The calculator shows US women's 11.5, UK 9, EU 44, CM / JP 28 and a foot length of 10 11/16 in (27.1 cm). A US women's 8 gives US men's 6.5, UK 6, EU 39 and CM / JP 24.5. A foot length of 27 cm is 10.63 in, which falls between US men's 9.5 and 10 (10 1/2 in and 10 11/16 in), so the calculator returns US men's 10. On the same chart, US men's 10 is AU men's 9 and AU women's 11.5. On the Kids tab, 10C is UK and AU 9.5, EU 27 and CM / JP 16, with a foot length of 6 9/16 in (16.7 cm).
Frequently asked questions
What is my Japanese shoe size?
Nike prints one CM / JP column, and the number on it is your Japanese size on a Nike label. A US men's 10 is CM / JP 28. Other brands can differ, so check their own chart. This number is a label size, not your foot length, as the answer below explains.
How do Australian shoe sizes work?
Nike's chart has no AU column, even on its Australian site, so this follows Myer, an Australian retailer. Its guide treats AU men's as UK, AU women's as US women's and AU kids' as UK. A US men's 10 is AU men's 9. Myer's own chart and Nike's disagree on some UK sizes, and brands sold in Australia can label differently, so try the shoe on or use the brand's own guide.
How do kids' shoe sizes work?
US kids' sizes run from 1C to 13.5C, where C is for babies, toddlers and little kids, and then start again at 1Y, up to 7Y for big kids. So US kids' 3 can mean two very different feet: 3C is CM / JP 9 and 3Y is CM / JP 22. UK sizes restart the same way, so UK 2.5 sits on two rows and the calculator shows both. Nike says to measure both feet, use the longer one and size up if the child is between sizes.
Why do US men's and women's sizes differ?
On Nike's chart, the US women's size is 1.5 higher than the men's for the same foot. A US women's 8 equals a US men's 6.5, and the calculator shows both side by side.
How do I measure my foot?
Nike's size guide says to tape a sheet of paper to a hard floor and stand on it with your weight on both feet. Have someone mark the tip of your big toe and the back of your heel, then measure between the marks. Measure both feet and use the longer one. Type it under Foot length to size, in cm or inches.
Why is the CM size different from my foot length?
The CM / JP number on a Nike label is a shoe size, and Nike notes that it is different from foot length in cm. A US men's 10 is CM / JP 28 on the label but fits a foot of 10 11/16 in, which is 27.1 cm.
Why does shoe size vary by brand?
Brands build shoes on different lasts, the foot-shaped forms a shoe takes its shape from, so the same number can fit differently. This chart is Nike's. For another brand, use its own size guide and treat this result as a starting point.
